Professional/research interests:
I am a Lecturer (Teaching) in Building Physic & Soundscape. My main areas of interest are: soundscape, environmental noise, standardization, noise annoyance

How would you like to contribute to UKAN?
I would like to support the development within UKAN of a new generation of professionals and scholars with a focus on soundscape and urban sound planning

Equipment:
AUDIOLAB - AMBISONICS AND VIRTUAL REALITY LAB Acoustics Group - UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering @HereEast The room hosts twelve Genelec 8331 SAM™ three-way coaxial monitors set up on trusses, allowing them to be moved around as the research requires. The room is also Dante® enabled with the DAD AX32 router which helps to simplify the reproduction of spatially accurate sonic environments, regardless of reproduction format. While the room was designed for the soundscape research team, this unique and flexible set up can be used for a wide variety of other applications, from sound design to music or postproduction, and fully spatialized reproduction of audio-visual recordings. Indeed the system is complemented by a visual kit. The laboratory features multiple video links between the control and the listening rooms so visual stimuli can be presented via screens or a VR HMD (virtual reality head-mounted device) run by the Dell Alienware PC equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 OC graphics card. The VR HMD is the Varjo VR2-PRO which features a high resolution bionic display (over 60 PPD / 3000 PPI, flicker-free screen refresh at 60/90 Hz), 87 degrees field of view, 100 Hz stereo eye-tracking (sub-degree accuracy) and Ultra Leap hand-tracking functionality.
