Key Responsibilities
- Explore and understand the literature on haptics perception and multi-sensory integration
- Design and implement new mid-air haptic sensations
- Lead and supervise user study testing getting involved in observation to gain first-hand exposure to user experiences
- Being curious by getting involved with the automotive team maintaining an awareness of commercial opportunities and challenges that can be addressed via research into haptics and contribute to the research direction to produce the most impact
- Apply AI techniques to data generated to create computational models that help us understand multi-sensory perception and integration
- Collaborate with the software team to contribute to SDK design
Experience and Skill Set
- PhD (or equivalent) in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of HCI methodologies, interaction design, UX design or similar
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Proven track record of publication in peer-reviewed venues (CHI, UIST, IEEE)
- Ability to learn fast and work in areas outside of your comfort zone
- Proficiency with programming languages such as C#, Python, C++
- Proficiency with data analysis techniques and AI methods
