Professor Xu is the inaugural Director of Emerging Technologies in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford, with a courtesy appointment in Electrical Engineering. He will discuss his work on flexible and wearable microfabricated ultrasound transducers, including their use for mapping deep-tissue modulus, measuring cardiovascular activity, and enabling transcranial volumetric imaging.
