Date
5 September - 6 September 2024

Location
University of Strathclyde in Glasgow

More info

Combining optics and ultrasound leads to many powerful techniques for probing and manipulating matter. Applications are wide ranging and include medical imaging, non destructive testing and fundamental science ranging from the macroscale down to the nanoscale. Following highly successful meetings sponsored by the Institute of Physics, we are pleased to announce Optics+Ultrasound VII. This will cover all aspects of combining light and sound. Suggested topics include: laser ultrasonics/ photoacoustic imaging / ultrasound modulated optical tomography / modelling of light sound interaction / elastography / phononics / acoustic microscopy / non destructive testing / medical imaging / generation / detection / novel contrast agents e.g. nanoparticles, microbubbles / reconstruction algorithms / thin films / structure materials / transducers and sensors.
