The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) launched a call for their Visiting Researcher Programme: https://nato.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?job=240432&lang=en
Among the several topics of interest, CMRE are interested in hearing from PhD students with suitable experience in underwater ocean-acoustics for a short term Visiting Researcher Position (approximately 3 months long) working in Climate Change and its impact on acoustics. Of particular interest would be ocean acoustics in the Arctic (e.g. ambient noise, but other topics and areas of interest would be considered).
Essential information:
– a PhD student is eligible for Research Fellow position for about 3 months (with possibility of extension up to further 3 months): with a monthly salary (in Euros) and reimbursement of travel expenses for joining and leaving CMRE, no further allowances.
– visiting positions are reserved to nationals of NATO member countries.
– the deadline for application is 7 April and the visit is expected to start in late spring/ summer (exact date is negotiable).
