Following the successful first two Urban Sound Symposia held in 2019 and 2021, the third edition in 2023 will be locally organized by researchers at La Salle Campus Barcelona. The symposium will present newest developments, challenges and opportunities for urban sound. This will be essentially an in-person symposium.
Topics
The program focusses on invited plenary talks by eminent researchers from around the world in a single stream, as well as panel discussions on emerging issues. The main themes are urban sound planning and design, urban sound propagation and control, sound technologies, urban soundscape analysis and sound art.
Abstracts
In addition, there will be a contributed poster session (with abstracts, in real life). The USS invites you and your colleagues to submit your abstracts on a topic with a clear link to urban sound. The abstract should be no longer than 300 words. Submissions should include the following information:
- Title and short description of the contribution
- Author(s) and affiliation

Fees for participants are 225 Euro (early bird registration) and 300 Euro (normal registration), including lunch and coffee breaks. You can join the congress dinner on Wednesday April 19th for 50 Euro.
