Workshop in Arrays organised by the UK Acoustic Network in collaboration with the UK Research centre in Non-Destructive Evaluation.
The Non-Destructive Evaluation special interest group (NDE – SIG) of the Acoustics Network (UKAN) is hosting its first meeting on Friday the 11th January in Bristol. This meeting is a chance to hear about and discuss the latest developments in ultrasonic array imaging.
The focus will be on NDE applications of arrays and we will hear from a number of industrial speakers describing how arrays are currently used and how this is expected to change of the next few years.
We will also hear from a number of university groups working on subjects such as:
- fast instrumentation,
- adaptive imaging
- and defect characterisation.
We aim to provide a forum for a wide ranging exchange of ideas on this topic. This meeting is also an opportunity to think about the future of the NDE-SIG and discuss proposals for future events.
This workshop is intended for anybody with an interest in NDE applications of arrays, from students to practicioners and technology developers. You can access the programme here.
