If you live in the Manchester/Salford area – or are willing to travel to it – and want to contribute to a research on human response to Air Source Heat Pump noise, please get in touch. We are particularly in need of female volunteers.
This research is part of the Innovate UK funded Future Homes project involving members of the University of Salford Acoustics Research Centre and Laboratories in collaboration with Energy House Labs.
Why
We’re investigating how people perceive the sounds of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), which is crucial for enhancing their design and usability. ASHPs are eco-friendly alternatives to traditional boilers, but understanding perception and annoyance is key to optimising their performance and mass adoption.
Where
Salford Acoustics listening room, Newton Building, University of Salford.
