As part of the UKRI Funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Sound Futures, the Acoustics Research Centre at the University of Salford has a PhD vacancy for a research project to alleviate the noise concerns around heat pumps. This research will contribute to increasing the acceptance of heat pumps, leading to decarbonising home heating and cooling. This PhD is co-funded by CIBSE, and will have Dr Antonio J Torija-Martinez and Prof David Waddington as supervisors.
