More info

At the start of my career noise control regulations were almost unheard of; but now they are everywhere with the result that acoustics now creeps into most professions and has created a sizeable profession all of its own.  This is a personal review of where it all came from, how we got here and a view on where it is going.

Having completed an electronics apprenticeship my first projects were with the all new “transistors” working on television time-bases and then on audio systems.  This led to work on the Medresco hearing aid and from that to finding new applications an audio transducer manufacturer.  One of those was a sound level meter, and from there the rest, as they say, is history.

The event is free to all.
