Professional/research interests:
Acoustic sensors for the measurement of interfaces. Especially applied to tribological machine elements like bearings, seals, and pistons. Acoustic sensors to measure oil film thickness, contact load and stress, and lubricant viscosity.

Equipment:
lab for development of sensors for measuring interfaces in machine elements. basic equipment for preparing and pulsing piezo-electric sensors. EMAT, high power ultrasound pulsing. Equipment for testing bearings, transmissions, and the machine elements.
