Professional/research interests:
I am a research associate at the University of Strathclyde working on insect-inspired acoustic sensors. My general interests cover bioacoustics and acoustic sensors, but also musical acoustics.
How would you like to contribute to UKAN?
I have been lucky enough to attend many UKAN-organised online events during lockdown and, finally, an in-person UKAN+ event in the form of the Summer School. It has been clear to me from the very start of my journey into academia how important it is for the different academic and industrial entities working in acoustics across the UK to be in contact with each other. Science and technology development go, without a doubt, hand in hand with collaboration. I hope to contribute to the consolidation of the UK acoustics network and be of help in any way I can.
