Precision Acoustics is a leading global manufacturer of hydrophones, ultrasound transducers, ultrasound test stations and acoustic materials. Due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit a Measurement Scientist to join our team in Dorchester.
Job Purpose
The Measurement Scientist role works within our R&D team on calibration activities.
Main Duties
- Transducer Calibration.
- Hydrophone Calibration.
- Acoustic measurements.
- Provision of beam characterisation/measurement services for customers
- Maintenance of Precision Acoustics calibration facilities.
- Assist with laboratory maintenance.
- LabView programming.
- Participation and support of internal R&D activities.
Skills and Qualifications Req
We are looking for someone with a degree in Physics, Acoustics or related discipline, who is a team player and has a strong commitment to professional development and self learning.
