KTP Associate – Fibre Optic Flow Sensing

This role offers the opportunity to uncover behaviour, trends and phenomena never before observed in a critical national asset; our wastewater collection (sewer) network. You will work across the full range of scales from detailed analysis of sensor test data to truly big data collected in live field measurements. You will learn techniques from existing experts, then learn from the data to become an expert yourself in a new and challenging field of development.

You will be driven and determined, having a strongly numerate technical background and be looking to make an impact from Day 1 in a dynamic and growing business, working with experts inside the company and through our academic partners.

You will have (or are to be awarded) good BEng/MEng, degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics, a PhD in a relevant subject is desirable. You will have a good working knowledge of machine learning approaches and mechanical principles. A good working knowledge of a relevant computer programming language and simulation packages, (for example Matlab, C/C++, or Python) is essential.
