The event will provide a forum for research collaboration and innovation in acoustics. Specifically, this event will facilitate: (i) discussions to influence the future of the UK Acoustics Network, its legacy and sources of funding to support its activities after November 2020; (ii) discussions about Network activities as a part of the International Year of Sound 2020; (iii) it will explore the latest research funding opportunities from UKRI and KTN’s – how acoustics fits in the UK Industry Strategy; and (iv) in-depth discussions between acoustic practitioners and researchers – enabling access to skills and talent.

We are delighted to present to the UKAN members the talk by Marc Holderied about the importance of acoustics to the living world and its close relation to physics. Featuring the BBC for Planet Earth II footage.
