Ingleborough Soundscape Project Launch Event

Date
10 April - 10 April 2019

Time
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Location
Knight Stainforth Hall, Little Stainforth, Settle, BD24 0DP

Over the next two years, a team from the University of Leeds Wildland Research Institute will be working in partnership with Natural England, on a citizen science outreach project within the Ingleborough National Nature Reserve. The aim of this study is to establish the extent to which environmental acoustics can be incorporated into an overall measure of ‘environmental richness’, using two contrasting re-wilding initiatives. This launch event will provide an overview of the project and a series of presentations from experts on topics such as paleo-ecology of the Yorkshire Dales and the use of drones in re-wilding studies. We will also be hoping to recruit ‘Citizen Scientists’ to support this project, who will work alongside members of the academic team. To register an interest in this event please email Dr Rob Pheasant at: r.j.pheasant@outlook.com.
