- I have an industrial experience working in NVH domain. I have specifically worked towards noise control (Sound package development - Testing and simulation) in automobiles.
- I have also worked on Source localization technique for my Master's Thesis titled" Sound Source Localization using Near-field Acoustic Holography (NAH) technique".

My research is focused on the prediction and control of railway-induced ground-borne noise and vibration. Within this main field of research, I've worked on:

- Semi-analytical modelling for vehicle-track-soil-building coupled systems, for at-grade infrastructures as well as underground.
- 2.5D and 3D FEM-BEM modelling approaches for the tunnel-soil and soil-building interaction problems.
- Meshfree methods (MFS and SBM) for elastodynamics and acoustic problems, especially tunnel-soil interactior problems and for re-radiated noise in buildings.
- Hybrid modeling, combining experimental measurements with theoretical models.
- Insertion Loss (IL) prediction for vibration mitigation countermeasures, as under-ballast mats, railpads, isolated blocks, floating slab tracks, DVAs, etc...
- Measurements of railway-induced vibrations in tracks, tunnels, ground surface and buildings. ISO 2631.
- In-situ characterization of railway tracks dynamic properties.

Other topics:
- Construction-induced noise and vibration.
- Pantograph/catenary dynamics.
- Vibration energy harvesting.

I am an Assistant Acoustic Consultant at a large consultancy firm. My work largely involves carrying out surveys and delivering reports for clients in support of planning applications, or in response to noise complaints.

I'm new to the field, and would like to broaden my knowledge of acoustics and eventually pursue a specialism in an area of interest. I would also like to engage and participate with the wider acoustics community to learn more about my field, and its future direction.

As a mechanical engineer I have spent several years of my academic and industrial career in engineering acoustic problems including NVH tests, muffler design and analysis, impedance tube development for both commercial usage and in-house research activities, shock and vibration analysis of structures for land vehicles and surface ships, etc. I also developed code in Matlab to investigate sound propagation in aerosol media through ducts numerically.

Despite being outside UK, an acoustic impedance tube measurement system, a sound level meter, Matlab and Ansys together with several computing clusters can be listed as equipment and software infrastructures.

MATLAB (general coding, signal processing, GUI development, Simulink, etc..), ANSYS(3D modeling,structural, acoustic, fluid dynamics) are the main ones.
