Professional/research interests:
As a mechanical engineer I have spent several years of my academic and industrial career in engineering acoustic problems including NVH tests, muffler design and analysis, impedance tube development for both commercial usage and in-house research activities, shock and vibration analysis of structures for land vehicles and surface ships, etc. I also developed code in Matlab to investigate sound propagation in aerosol media through ducts numerically.

I want to exchange knowledge and ideas with experts of similar interests, enlarge my academic and professional network in the community and contribute to a research group with my skills and expertise, if possible.

How would you like to contribute to UKAN?
I would like to share my technical and industrial knowledge with the group and participate in a research study by taking a role in accordance with my skills.

Equipment:
Despite being outside UK, an acoustic impedance tube measurement system, a sound level meter, Matlab and Ansys together with several computing clusters can be listed as equipment and software infrastructures.

Software or numerical codes:
MATLAB (general coding, signal processing, GUI development, Simulink, etc..), ANSYS(3D modeling,structural, acoustic, fluid dynamics) are the main ones.

Professional/research interests:
My researches are focused on acoustics in air media (acoustic wave in non homogeneous materials), signal processing and in biomedical acoustics (acoustophoresis)

What would you like UKAN to do for you?
I would like to find a professional opportunity (postdoctoral position), either in acoustic applied to air media or in biomedical acoustics in order to discover new topics and to work with new collaborators

How would you like to contribute to UKAN?
I would like to bring my knowledge in each topics where i have acquired an expertise. I wish to contribute to the development of new acoustic experimental setup.

Equipment:
Anechoic chamber of 27 m^3 fitted for high speed jet noise measurements, microphones array, flow and sound field visualisation apparatus (Schlieren, 3D PIV), two closed low speed wind tunnels with work sections of about 1m*1m, three high speed wind tunnels with work sections of about 0.2m *0.2m, force measurements and scanivalve pressure equipment.

Linear and non-linear acoustic solvers (linearised Euler e.g. [1], Westervelt equation e.g. [2]), sound-structure interaction codes; linear acoustics and structural dynamics (spectral decomposition) e.g. [3] and non-linear based on Westervelt and FEM/DEM e.g. [4] and WENO5 or FLIC DNS/LES solver e.g. [5].
